The Bromley (Kent) Festival of Music and Speech

On the 14th March 2008 we competed in the School & Youth Choirs Year 13 & under. This is the first year for a very long time that we have entered such a competition. One problem we had was that the classes are mostly based on school years while the Bromley Boy Singers have boys from age 7 to 14, spanning Junior and Senior schools. That's why we ended up competing in a class open to all school years.

We did really well being awarded 92% resulting in a certificate of Distinction and the Harvey Grace Cup.

We sang two pieces by one of our favourite composer, Ian Jefferson; A Sea Change and Hear the Bell. You can hear part of a recording we made last year of A Sea Change and Hear the Bell.
