Joining BBS

We had a great 2 day singing workshop in Bromley during 2007 where we joined forces with boys interested in singing. Many of them enjoyed the days enough to want to join.

Thanks to the support of "Making Music" this singing workshop was free for all the boys.

The Bromley Boy Singers is divided into the Training Choir and the Concert Choir. At the moment our boys range from 7 to 14 years old. As boys' voices change and mature so we are always on the lookout for new members and extend a warm welcome to all new recruits.

We rehearse once a week during term-time, on Wednesdays from 6.00 p.m. in the Church Rooms of St John the Evangelist, Park Grove, Bromley (on the corner of Park Road). There is an additional monthly rehearsal at Chislehurst Village Hall; and occassionally we run a two-day choir course to refine the boys' technique, concentrate on individual voice production and help each BBS member reach the best possible standard. If you live locally and think you would like to join the choir, please contact Ian Maxwell (include a contact phone number) and we will be in touch.

We prefer boys to join at the beginning of a term when we are normally learning new music. If you've just missed a starting date, don't wait to contact us, we'd like to meet you as soon as possible to discuss joining.
